This Saturday, the GCADA will participate in two charity walks.
The “Purple Stride” walk for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, is at Sawyer Point at 10:00 am. The PCAN is a nationwide network of people dedicated to working together to advance research, support patients, and create hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer, the fourth leading cause of death among cancers. Former GCADA President Ken Falhaber, of Ken Falhaber Nissan, is battling with pancreatic cancer, and is walking. We sponsored Ken and his team, and will have a booth set up at the walk.
The Cincinnati Children’s “Walk for Kids” Walk raises money for the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, one of the top three pediatric hospitals, and the largest pediatric research facility in the United States. The walk gives CCHMC patients, their families, and friends going through similar emotional and physical challenges an opportunity to meet, socialize and give back to the hospital that was or is giving their children the care and treatment they need. The hospital is also our partner in the annual “Boost for Safety” campaign, and we work with them year-round promoting child passenger safety. The walk is at the Cincinnati Zoo at 3:00 pm, and we have a team walking, consisting of our employees.
It is not too late to donate to these two wonderful causes. Click here to donate to Ken Falhaber and the PCAN, and click here to donate to Cincinnati Walks for Kids. We thank you for your participation.
