Love for a Jeep That Went to War

“I can’t tell you the number of times that a veteran has come up to me and said, ‘My Goodness, I haven’t ridden in one of those since 1945.’ ” David Cadorette, a business consultant and vice president of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association from Amherst, N.H., sat on his 1942 Jeep and told the story of how he came to possess such a special historical artifact (Baime).  Cadorette says that he bought the Jeep in 1995 for $4500, and was later able to determine not only where the vehicle was made, but that it made its way to the military on November 9, 1942.  Between learning and researching, finding and making parts, restoring the vehicle took five years to complete!  Interested in more information on this piece?  Click here.
