July 2015 - Greater Cincinnati Automobile Dealers Association

Catch us at the Gerber Cincinnati Baby & Beyond Expo!

Catch us this weekend at the first ever Gerber Cincinnati Baby & Beyond Expo presented by Chrysler, at the Sharonville Convention Center, August 1 and 2, 2015.  We will be in attendance providing child passenger safety information to parents and caregivers, as well as Goody Bags for kids 8 and under, filled with fun and information!

With Child Passenger Safety Month on the horizon, this is the perfect way to kick off this year’s campaign, which will focus on child passenger safety seat registration awareness and the fact that car seats can be affected by recalls!  This year, we even have a life-like, 3 ft. tall “spokes-bear” who’ll be helping us spread the word.  The problem is, our bear is still nameless!

Visit us at the Cincinnati Baby & Beyond Expo, where you’ll have the one and only opportunity to see the “spokes-bear” in person and enter the “Bear Needs a Name” Contest before we draw a winner!  Winner gets the Bear and an Evenflo Symphony All-In-One Car Seat!  The contest ends August 2, 2015, which is the last day of the Expo – and we hope to see you there!

Mobsteel

NBCSN will be launching an automotive reality show next month following a Detroit-area-based custom-car shop.  The show is called Mobsteel, and it focuses on a custom-car shop that transforms vintage American cars into modern-day street machines.

AUTOWEEK tells us, Mobsteel follows founder Adam Genei and his team of custom-car specialists, including his wife Pam, as they restore vehicles ranging from relics of the American automotive boom to an old international Harvester Loadstar, and much more.  Mobsteel is an existing custom-car shop that was founded more than 10 years ago, using vintage parts and Detroit steel to bring ancient American cars back to life.

“We’re excited to add ‘Mobsteel’ to our growing portfolio of automotive and motorsports properties,” said Ron Wechsler, senior vice president of original programming and Entertainment, NBC Sports Group. “We understand our motorsports audience is also deeply passionate about American car culture.  ‘Mobsteel’ represents the birth and heart of that culture, the Motor City — Detroit.”

Mobsteel premieres on Sunday, August 16 at 6 pm ET!  To view the full article and more information on Mobsteel’s debut episode, click here.

Discovery Channel’s CUBAN CHROME premieres next week!

Advertised as the first American television series to be produced entirely on location in Cuba, Cuban Chrome will premiere on July 13th, one week from today at 10 pm ET/PT on the Discovery Channel!  This groundbreaking new docu-series explores the interesting time warp that characterizes Cuban culture.

Since the 1959 Cuban Revolution and the subsequent U.S. embargo, it has been illegal to import American cars to the island nation of Cuba.  Because of this dilemma, Cubans must maintain their 50+ year old, vintage American vehicles, not just as a means of transportation, but a way of life.  The new docu-series Cuban Chrome will give viewers an intimate look into this once ritzy, but now rarely seen country, as they meet men and women who put everything on the line to keep these classic cars running.
